About

Alexandre Munz is a Fascia Therapy specialist and creator of the Munz Method — an online movement practice focused on deep spinal and pelvic floor relief. His signature Munz Floor programme works systematically through the thorax-pelvic floor relationship, addressing root causes of lower back pain rather than symptoms. Available online worldwide via structured course modules.

Guide Notes

First Impression

I found the Munz Method while searching for something that could help with a specific problem: turning in bed at night without triggering a locked-up feeling in my lower back and hips.

What I Felt

What I discovered is a system built on the Palier (French for "landing" or "plateau") — a structured, layered sequence of movements that teaches the body to rotate safely and efficiently.

Breakthrough Details

The first thing that struck me: it's slow. Not in a vague mindfulness way — slow because the method requires your nervous system to actually register what's happening at each stage. You can't rush a Palier. If you do, you skip the learning.

Still early in the Palier sequence.

Breakthrough details I keep coming back to: • how the head participates (and how gently) • the sequence + slowness of the legs • decoupling hips and thorax • re-coupling them in order: hip, then thorax

But already the Munz Method is doing something that a lot of movement work misses: it's making the body feel worth listening to again.
